ESPN's College GameDay

On Saturday, Feb 2nd of 2013 - First place in the B1G Conference and NCAA Tourney seeding was on the line as ESPN’s College GameDay visited Bloomington for the 2nd time (first since 2008) ahead of the showdown between then #1 Michigan and #3 Indiana in Assembly Hall.

Unique was approached by IU Athletics and invited to serve as the DJ for the day's festivities inside the iconic venue; he was tasked with playing a one hour pre-show mix for the roughly 11k Hoosier fans in attendance before ESPN would go LIVE at 10am.

IU Staff and ESPN producers wanted him to 'set the table' and get the huge crowd ready for broadcast; and to then spin the commercial breaks, so as to keep the energy level at its peak.

The event and day went so well - IU's Deputy Director of Athletics, Scott Dolson, invited Unique back to spin the pre-game shoot-around for IUBB over the course of the final 5 homes games that season.

It was in May of that year that IU Athletics extended a contract to Unique, inviting him to become their DJ at Men's Basketball games and work with their 24 Varsity Sports as an audio and production consultant.
